Terms of Service
Effective 13 July 2026
Mira operates OnMe. OnMe is a Mira product providing AI virtual try-on for Shopify merchants. These Terms govern a merchant's installation and use of OnMe.
1. Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. You must have authority over the Shopify store where OnMe is installed and provide accurate account, store, and billing information through Shopify. You are responsible for access by your staff and collaborators and for activity performed using your Shopify authorization.
2. The service
OnMe lets eligible apparel merchants add an AI virtual try-on to selected product pages. A shopper can choose a photo and request an AI-generated image approximating how a garment may look on them. Merchants control eligible products, widget settings, plan options, and whether optional overage is enabled.
Mira may improve, add, remove, or change features to maintain security, comply with applicable requirements, respond to model changes, or improve the service. Where practicable, we will provide reasonable notice when a material change substantially reduces paid functionality.
3. Plans, trials, usage, and billing
- Subscriptions and usage charges are approved and billed through the Shopify Billing API. Mira does not collect payment-card details.
- Plans may include a trial, a monthly render allowance, and an optional per-render overage rate. The OnMe billing screen and Shopify approval screen show the controlling price, allowance, billing interval, and maximum usage cap before approval.
- When overage is disabled, rendering pauses at the applicable allowance. When enabled, successful renders beyond the allowance are billed at the rate approved through Shopify, subject to the displayed cap.
- Renders that fail permanently or are safety-blocked are not counted as successful billable renders. A network or interface interruption does not create a refund if a usable render was delivered.
- Fees are in the currency shown by Shopify, exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise, and non-refundable except where required by law or granted by Mira.
- Mira may change future plan pricing or allowances with advance notice through the app, Shopify, email, or the published plan page. Changes apply no earlier than the next renewal or new Shopify approval.
4. Merchant responsibilities
You are responsible for your store, products, content, claims, customer relationship, and compliance with applicable consumer, privacy, advertising, intellectual-property, and ecommerce requirements. You must:
- offer OnMe only for products and images you have the right to use;
- maintain an accurate store privacy notice and make disclosures or obtain consent required for virtual try-on;
- not encourage use by people under 16 or use a person's photo without that person's permission;
- not describe an AI result as a measurement, sizing recommendation, photograph, or guarantee of fit, colour, drape, or appearance;
- keep Shopify credentials and staff access secure and promptly tell Mira about suspected unauthorized use; and
- cooperate with reasonable security, abuse-prevention, data-subject, and platform-compliance requests.
5. Licenses and ownership
Mira or its licensors own OnMe's software, design, documentation, branding, and service technology. Subject to these Terms and applicable fees, Mira grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use OnMe for your own Shopify store during the subscription.
You retain ownership of your store, product content, and other materials you provide. You grant Mira and its subprocessors a limited license to host, copy, transform, and process those materials only as needed to provide, secure, and support OnMe. Shoppers retain their rights in their photos. Mira claims no ownership of a shopper's photo and receives no license to use it for AI training.
6. Acceptable use
You must not, and must not help another person to:
- use OnMe unlawfully, deceptively, to violate another person's rights, or with content you are not authorized to process;
- upload sexual, exploitative, abusive, hateful, or otherwise prohibited content, or attempt to bypass model safety controls;
- use photos of children or generate deceptive impersonations;
- probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, interfere with, or gain unauthorized access to the service;
- circumvent quotas, billing, rate limits, access controls, or usage restrictions;
- reverse engineer, extract, copy, resell, sublicense, or make OnMe available as a competing service except where a restriction is prohibited by applicable law; or
- use model outputs or service access to train or develop a competing AI model in violation of applicable provider terms.
7. Privacy
The OnMe Privacy Policy explains how Mira handles shopper, merchant, and website information through OnMe. For shopper personal data processed through a merchant's storefront, the merchant is controller and Mira is processor through OnMe. Each merchant remains responsible for its lawful basis, notices, consent experience, and responses to shoppers.
8. Data Processing Agreement
This section is the Data Processing Agreement (“DPA”) between the merchant (“Controller”) and Mira, as operator of OnMe (“Processor”). It applies when Mira processes shopper personal data for the merchant and forms part of these Terms.
| Processing detail | Description |
|---|---|
| Subject matter and purpose | Provide a shopper-requested virtual try-on, return the result, prevent abuse, measure non-identifying funnel events, and support aggregate order attribution. |
| Nature | Receive, reduce, store briefly, transmit to Google Cloud, generate, display, secure, and delete images; record limited operational and aggregate events. |
| Duration | For each image, until the final render outcome with a 24-hour storage backstop. Other shop data is processed for the app installation and deletion period described in the Privacy Policy. |
| Data subjects | Storefront shoppers who affirmatively request a try-on. |
| Personal data | Shopper-supplied photo, generated try-on image, and a short-lived pseudonymous rate-limit hash. An image may incidentally reveal physical or other sensitive characteristics, but Mira does not identify, classify, or profile them. |
| Controller instructions | These Terms, the merchant's OnMe configuration, and each shopper-requested render are the documented instructions. Mira processes personal data only on those instructions unless applicable law requires otherwise. |
8.1 Processor obligations
Mira will:
- process personal data only on documented instructions and notify the Controller if an instruction appears to violate applicable data-protection law, unless prohibited from doing so;
- ensure people authorized to process the data are bound by confidentiality;
- maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encrypted transport, access controls, short-lived links, terminal-outcome deletion, lifecycle backstops, least privilege, and incident monitoring;
- reasonably assist with data-subject requests, security duties, data-protection impact assessments, and regulator consultations, considering the nature of processing and information available to Mira;
- notify the Controller without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal-data breach affecting the Controller's shopper data and provide available information reasonably needed for notification duties;
- delete shopper images under the retention schedule and, after termination, delete remaining shop data through Shopify's uninstall and redaction process, except records that applicable law requires Mira to retain; and
- make information reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance available to the Controller.
8.2 Subprocessors and transfers
The Controller gives general authorization for Mira to use subprocessors needed to provide OnMe. The current application subprocessor is Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and Vertex AI Virtual Try-On, with processing in the United States under the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum. Where practicable, Mira will post notice before a material new application subprocessor begins processing shopper personal data. A Controller may object on reasonable data-protection grounds by emailing [email protected]. If the parties cannot resolve the objection, either may terminate affected use.
Mira will impose data-protection obligations on subprocessors appropriate to the services they perform and remains responsible for its processor obligations. For restricted transfers subject to European, UK, or Swiss data-protection law, the parties rely on applicable Standard Contractual Clauses or another valid transfer mechanism incorporated through the relevant provider agreement.
8.3 Audit cooperation
On written request, Mira will provide available policies, control descriptions, deletion evidence, and relevant third-party assurance information needed to demonstrate compliance. If that information is insufficient, the Controller may request a reasonable audit no more than once per year, during normal business hours, on advance notice, subject to confidentiality, security, and reimbursement of reasonable costs. The frequency limit does not apply after a material incident or where a regulator requires an audit.
9. AI results and merchant decisions
AI-generated try-on images can be incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, or unsuitable. Results do not determine size, fit, safety, quality, availability, or purchasing outcomes. Merchants and shoppers must use independent judgment. You are responsible for product descriptions, sizing guidance, returns, and claims made from a result.
10. Third-party services and availability
OnMe depends on Shopify, Google Cloud, internet providers, storefront themes, and other third-party systems Mira does not control. Their outages, policy changes, model behavior, or platform restrictions may affect the service. Mira does not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available service and may perform maintenance or impose reasonable limits for security and reliability.
11. Confidentiality
Each party may receive non-public information identified as confidential or reasonably understood to be confidential. The receiving party will use it only to perform under these Terms, protect it with reasonable care, and disclose it only to people who need it and are bound by confidentiality. This does not cover information already lawfully known, public through no breach, independently developed, or lawfully received from another source. A legally compelled disclosure is permitted after notice where legally allowed.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using OnMe and uninstall it at any time. Shopify controls subscription cancellation and final billing mechanics. Mira may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, material breach, security risk, unlawful use, platform direction, or conduct likely to harm shoppers, merchants, Mira, or third parties. Where the issue can be cured, Mira will generally give reasonable notice and an opportunity to cure.
On termination, your license ends, rendering stops, and data is handled under the Privacy Policy and DPA. Terms that by their nature should survive—including payment obligations, ownership, confidentiality, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and general provisions—remain effective.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OnMe is provided “as is” and “as available.” Mira disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or other right that applicable law does not allow the parties to exclude.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mira is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss; lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data; or the cost of substitute services arising from or related to OnMe, even if advised that such loss was possible.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mira's aggregate liability arising from or related to OnMe and these Terms will not exceed the fees paid for OnMe by the affected store during the three months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you will defend and indemnify Mira against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your store content, your breach of these Terms, your violation of applicable law or another person's rights, or your use of photos without required permission, except to the extent caused by Mira's breach or unlawful conduct. Mira will give prompt notice and reasonable cooperation. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault or imposes obligations on Mira without written consent.
16. General terms
- Changes: Mira may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date and giving additional notice of material changes where practicable. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance; if you do not agree, uninstall before then.
- Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without Mira's consent. Mira may assign them in connection with a genuine reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer of OnMe.
- Force majeure: neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, except payment obligations.
- Severability and waiver: an unenforceable provision is limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest remains effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- Entire agreement: these Terms, the DPA, the Privacy Policy, and the plan approved through Shopify are the complete agreement about OnMe and replace earlier discussions on that subject. A Shopify requirement controls only where it must.
